We strive to make our meetings fun and informative

The society meets on the fourth Sunday of the month, at the Leroy Collins Leon County Public Library, located at 200 West Park Avenue, Tallahassee Florida. Meetings begin at 1:30 pm with a half hour of open conversation among the membership and guests, discussing their recent genealogical finds and research troubles. It’s a chance for members to catch-up on what everybody else is doing and share their joys and miseries.

At 2 pm the actual business meeting begins with greetings and remarks from the President, followed by a presentation of a genealogical topic, aimed at helping the Family Historian further their education in genealogy. Presentations last from forty to sixty minutes, and are followed by a question and answer period.

Finally, the floor is open to announcements of genealogical interest to everyone. After the meeting, attendees are welcome to stay and discuss specific research problems and experiences with interested members.
Meetings are free and open to the public.
