TGS April Meeting: The US Census from 1790 to 1840 with Matthew Storey, Florida State Archives

Matthew Storey, Archives Historian at the State Archives of Florida, will talk to us about the US census from 1790, the first year the federal census was taken, through 1850. (Matthew spoke about land records at our June 2024 program meeting.) Time: Social time is at 1:30 and the program begins at 2. Location: The Fireside Room in the Parry Center at Westminster Oaks. (The Parry Center may also be accessed through the Maguire Center if you would like to park in the parking garage or near the Pool House.)

TGS June Meeting: Donna Meredith on Family History Sources in Her Book “Margaret, The Rose of Goodwood”

Author Donna Meredith, editor of the Southern Literary Review, will share how she researched and used family history resources in her book Margaret, The Rose of Goodwood.
